By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account details: phone number and, if you choose, details used for sign-in.
• Profile information: your name, age, gender, orientation, photos, voice notes, prompt answers, interests, and other details you add to your profile.
• Birth data: your birth date, birth time, and birth location, which we use to calculate your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs and to compute compatibility with other users.
• Preferences: the criteria you set for who you want to meet (age range, distance, signs, and other filters).
• Communications: messages you send to other users and any support requests you send to us.

Information collected automatically

• Location: with your permission, approximate or precise location so we can show you people nearby.
• Usage & device data: app interactions, device type, operating system, identifiers, and log data.
• Purchase data: subscription status and transaction identifiers processed through the App Store and our payments provider (RevenueCat). We do not store your full payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account and profile;
• Calculate your birth chart and compatibility scores and generate your match feed;
• Enable likes, matches, messaging, and other core features;
• Process subscriptions and Premium features and prevent fraudulent purchases;
• Moderate photos and content and keep the community safe using automated and human review;
• Send you notifications about likes, matches, and messages (you can control these in your device settings);
• Analyze and improve the Service, and comply with the law.

3. How We Share Information

• With other users: your profile (photos, prompts, signs, and compatibility) is visible to other users as part of the matching experience. Your exact birth time and precise location are not shown to other users.
• Service providers: we share data with vendors who help us operate the Service, including Google Firebase (backend, authentication, database, and notifications) and RevenueCat (subscription management).
• Legal reasons: we may disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Sun Moon Rising LLC, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: if Sun Moon Rising LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

5. Your Rights & Choices

• Access and update: you can view and edit most profile information directly in the app.
• Delete your account: you can delete your account at any time from the app’s settings.
• Location and notifications: you can control these permissions in your device settings.
• Regional rights: depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@smrdating.com.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended only for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it and terminate the account.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection.
